To support this, pools also need regular vacuuming (ideally every 1 to 2 weeks) to remove the dirt and debris that can build up on the floor and place strain on your equipment.
There are three main types of vacuum systems available, and we can help supply the best option for your pool and lifestyle.
Manual Suction
A simple and affordable option, ideal for small pools or quick clean-ups.
These systems connect to your pool’s skimmer and rely on the pool’s existing pump to create suction. You guide the vacuum manually using a pole, moving it around the pool yourself.
They’re a great low-cost choice, but do require time and effort to operate. After vacuuming, you’ll often need to rinse or backwash your filter, depending on how much debris was picked up.
Automatic Suction
A mid-range cleaning solution that offers convenience without the higher price tag of a robot.
Like manual vacuuming, these cleaners use your pool’s pump system, but once connected to the skimmer or suction port, they move around the pool on their own. They’re effective at cleaning the pool floor and walls and are a good match for medium-sized pools with a reliable pump.
Like manual systems, they can increase the load on your filter, requiring extra attention.
Automatic Robot
The easiest and most advanced option for keeping your pool clean.
These cleaners are fully automatic and run independently of your pool’s pump or filter. Just drop them in and press start — they handle the rest. With their own built-in filter and smart navigation, they clean the floor, walls, and even the waterline. Many models include features like app control, scheduled cycles, and easy lift-out systems.
